Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, has explained why she briefly broke up with the star player for Portugal and Al-Nassr.
The Argentine beauty claimed that the abrupt cardiac arrest of her father caused her to end her romance with the football legend.
Ronaldo and the 29-year-old model have two children together. They first met in 2016.
She struggled after her deceased father, Jorge, experienced a serious stroke in 2016, and their relationship once ended as a result.
Rodriguez discussed her difficult experience seven years ago in an interview for her Netflix series “I Am Georgina”.
“Cristiano had a lot of games, the thing with my father also happened then. I was a little absent, well I was sad and one day, we ran into each other at another event and he asked me for dinner… I thought: ‘Finally, my chance has come,” She said via Daily Post.
The former Juventus goal machine had earlier confirmed that the duo took a brief break from their relationship.
