Ado Bala Hadi, a football player from Nigeria, died while playing for CD Madridejos, a club in Spain’s fourth tier.
In the 39th minute of CD Madridejos’ league match against SP Cabanillas, Hadi collapsed to the ground.
All attempts to bring him back to life were unsuccessful, and he was later pronounced dead.
Before joining CD Madridejos last year, the 21-year-old was on the roster of Jigawa Golden Stars of the Nigeria National League.
For Jigawa Golden Stars, the defender made nine appearances.
Prior to his passing, Hadi was one of four Nigerian athletes playing for CD Madridejos.
