Striker Vincent Aboubakar of Cameroon believes Lionel Messi is a superior player to Cristiano Ronaldo.
This was Aboubakar’s dig at Ronaldo, who had replaced him at Al Nassr the previous week.
The Cameroonian insisted that he has always known that Argentina’s star Messi is the superior player, but he also said that after training with Ronaldo at Al Nassr, this knowledge became more obvious.
According to The Daily Mail, Aboubakar is expected to quit the Saudi Arabian team because they are only allowed to have eight international players on their roster because the 37-year-old signed a two and a half-year contract there.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was now punched in the most painful place by Aboubakar, who said Messi was superior to him.
The Cameroon international reportedly stated that he now knows from experience that Messi is a better player than Ronaldo. This is according to Mundo Deportivo.
“I always thought that Messi was better than Ronaldo, but after I had practice with him, I knew I was right,” opined the 30-year-old forward.”
