Croatia captain Luka Modric, 37, has reportedly turned down hefty offers from MLS and Saudi Arabia in hopes of extending his contract with Real Madrid.
Spanish media outlet Marca reports that Modric, whose 12-month contract with the Santiago Bernabéu is about to expire, wants another short-term offer that will give him the chance to finish his 12th season with capital expenditure in Spain. .
Though no deal has been reached, it was gathered that the Croatian footballer is on the radar of some clubs in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr, who have just signed Cristiano Ronaldo, are keen to add Sergio Ramos and Modric to their ranks in the next window, according to Marka.
But Modric, who is ready to patiently accept a deal from Real Madrid, has already turned down lucrative offers from the United States and Saudi Arabia to stay in the Spanish capital after the season ends.
