
A Nigerian police officer identified as SP Benjamin Hundeyin expresses shock after learning that doctors still request for police report before treating gunshot victims.
According to the Nigerian police officer, doctors are to provide immediate treatments to gunshot victims as stipulated by medical ethics before notify the police accordingly.
He went further to say that One of their core mandates is to protect lives.
“I am shocked to learn that a few doctors still request police report before treating gunshot victims. Kindly provide immediate medical attention as stipulated by medical ethics. Then notify the police accordingly. One of our core mandates remain: protection of life.”
