Man shot his wife for refusing him sex, attempts suicide

A 31 year old man who is identified as Charles Soglo has shot his wife, Doris Amoah in the chest and attempted to kill himself for refusing to have sex with him.

The 31 year old farmer attempted to kill himself after thinking he had killed his 21 year old wife by shooting her in the chest.

According to source, Takyi Adansi Fomena District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Yaw Ohene, confirmed the incident, saying, “Charles Soglo shot his hands and lost two of his fingers and shot his chest.

“His wife had been transported to the hospital when a team of officers got to the scene. The officers then transported the suspect to the hospital.”

The wife was rushed to to New Edubiase Government Hospital and is responding to treatment. The husband was also taken to Saint Benito Mini Hospital at Adansi Dompoase and is receiving treatment under strict surveillance.

Police has retrieved the single barrel gun used in committing the crime and has said that Charles Soglo will be arraigned following his treatment.
