Emeka Rollas: I don’t know why he put on Biafra regalia
The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has reacted to the the arrest of the veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu by the Nigerian Army for wearing the Biafra regalia on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
The Nollywood actor, Agu was arrested by the Nigerian Army for putting on the Biafra regalia at Upper Iweka, Onitsha, Anambra State, although the Nigeria army alleged that he was soliciting support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
It was reported that he has been taken to 82 Division Enugu with the army saying his regalia was an act of incitement towards the IPOB.
The AGN president reacting to his arrest, condemned Chiwetalu Agu actions for wearing the Biafra insignia especially given the security situation in the South East.
He said that the Guild are doing everything in their power to ensure the release of Chiwetalu Agu.
“I don’t know why he put on Biafra regalia, The state is hot” He said.
