According to BBC Hausa, a group of robbers kidnapped more than 80 kids on Friday morning in Zamfara State’s Tsafe Local Government Area, ranging in age from 12 to 17.
The victims’ parents claim that the attackers collected up the kids early in the morning as they were playing in the bush and brought them into the forest.

Bandits have persisted in their nefarious activities in the volatile Zamfara region despite many government efforts to combat crime. Sadly, hundreds of schoolchildren have been abducted in the area; some of them were eventually freed after being paid a ransom.
The kidnappers have not been in touch with the parents to lay out any demands as of the time of the BBC article.
