Police have found a car that was reported stolen on International Women’s Day, but it was actually abandoned.
Mwebantu claims that 60-year-old Kombe Mulenga claimed to the police that he had left his automobile at the Lowenthal Theater but had returned to find it had been stolen.

In addition to the black Toyota Ipsum, he said, his N1.3 million was also missing.
The “lost” car was eventually found parked inside Champ Elysee Club and Bar after a frenzied search.
Police discovered that the car was not stolen, as had been stated, but rather that the owner had forgotten where he had parked it after drinking.
“The observation made is that the owner just forgot where he parked the motor vehicle due to the fact that he had taken alcohol,” Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said.
