Checking your jamb admission status can be done very easily as JAMB created a website for it’s candidates so they can monitor their admission status and not just that, after being given admission to study a course, can also accept or reject the admission through the site.
Well according to research made, source said that from the year 2016 and downwards can’t check their jamb admission status online because at that time the development wasn’t made, those students would need to open an account with JAMB, well I’m guessing you aren’t among these years and so you can go on to check your admission status.
Note : The statement above implies that 2017 candidates and upwards can check their jamb admission status online.
HOW TO CHECK JAMB ADMISSION STATUS
To check your admission status, all you need to do is follow these simple steps.
1: Go to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) E-facility portal @ portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
2: Insert your username and password in the space provided and click login.
3: After a successful login, scroll down and then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
4: Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns.
5: Finally, click on the ‘Check Admission Status’ button.
That’s it, you are all done.
RESPONSES GOTTEN AND MEANING
Well after clicking on check admission, there are some responses you might get from jamb, we are going to discuss these responses and their meanings.
1. CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED PROVISIONAL ADMISSION: as it implies, you have been given admission, so all you have to do is proceed to accept or reject your admission.
2. ADMISSION IN PROGRESS: this means that you have been considered for admission but it is still undergoing some final process. In most cases which we’ve seen and know of, you should consider yourself admitted, all you have do is keep checking until it changes to CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED PROVISIONAL ADMISSION
3. NOT ADMITTED: This is what breaks most student’s heart as it means you haven’t been considered for admission yet. Well that doesn’t mean you won’t be considered for admission, all you have to do is keep checking for any changes.
