Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, asserts that homosexuality is not a crime under the law but rather a sin within the church.

In an interview with The Associated Press on January 25, the famous priest revealed this.

In addition to stressing God’s love for all of his children, the Pope urged Catholic bishops who favor the laws to accept LGBTQ persons into the church.

“Being homos£xual isn’t a crime; Yes, but it’s a sin. Fine, but first let’s distinguish between a sin and a crime. It’s also a sin to lack charity with one another,” Pope Francis stated.

Pope Francis urged bishops to embrace compassion for the LGBTQ community in his recent remarks on the prejudice that exists against it.

“These bishops have to have a process of conversion, tenderness, please, as God has for each one of us. We are all children of God, and God loves us as we are and for the strength that each of us fights for our dignity,” he added.
