Just reaching The Honcho Gist, the Nigerian Army was said to have arrested a Lance Corporal (soldier) who was allegedly involved in an assault on two traffic wardens in Oyo State.
A video which was shared online showed the moment, Lance Corporal and one of his other colleagues assaulted traffic warden at Adeoye Road by Ring Road, Ibadan in Oyo state on Friday, January 7.
The Army made it known that it is working with the Oyo State Police Command to find and arrest others involved in the act.
The director of Army public relations on Monday made a statement saying that the conduct of these individuals was against the ethos of the Nigerian Army.
The statement released was titled, “One soldier arrested as investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest all culprits in the unfortunate assault on traffic wardens in Ibadan.”
