Buhari appoints Justice Baba-Yusuf as acting Chief Judge of FCT
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf as acting Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This following the resignation of the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Salisu Garba.
The Director of Information, Soji Oye, disclosed this in a press statement on Saturday, 14th August 2021 following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The statement read: “Hon Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf will be sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, CFR, on Monday, August 16, 2021, by 10 am at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”
The Acting appointment takes effect from 1 August 2021.
The swearing-in ceremony will hold by 10.00 am at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
